If you think that creating online video requires a lot of expense and/or a steep learning curve, here’s good news.
A service called SpotMixer makes it easy for anyone to create professional quality online video without hiring a pricey videographer, buying expensive equipment and software, or struggling with a steep learning curve.
SpotMixer provides a wide variety of templates from which you can choose. You then upload your own photos and/or video, or choose from the stock options SpotMixer offers. Add you business information, such as contact information, URL and special offers, and SpotMixer does the rest.
You can post your videos on your website or other websites, or include them in emails. SpotMixer will optimize your videos for YouTube and post them for you. You can edit them as many times as you like, and create ad variations to test. SpotMixer tracks plays and clicks so you learn what works best.
SpotMixer offers a free 30-day trial which allows you to create one video. Thereafter, they charge $49 per month. Online advertising and cable TV services are also offered at additional charge.
I’m looking forward to trying it! How about you?

Video camera’s are getting easier to use … many have NO tape or harddrive … just flash memory. Many record in a format already ready to upload to your website or utube directly. Also, some of the software packages for editing video are under $100 and fairly easy to use (if you are over 40 years old, there is no such thing as easy). Will check out the option you mention above!

Thanks, Curtis. You hit the nail on the head with the “over 40″ comment. And over 40 or not, I think a lot of people mistakenly feel that online video requires a lot more than it really does to be effective. (See my earlier post on that subject.) I’ll be curious to hear what you think of SpotMixer.
